Michaela Le Compte started her food journey as an apprentice chef at Tony Bilson’s Fine Bouche restaurant before moving on and finishing her 4 years at Damien Pignolet’s Bistro Moncur.Her love of languages,travel and cooking led her on an European adventure before returning to Australia and taking up a sous chef position with Colin Holt at Bistro Pave.
A desire to use her food skills and knowledge combined with a creative flair saw Michaela enter the world of publishing and media assisting Donna Hay as a photo chef before moving onto her own styling career in 1999.Since then she has worked for Vogue Entertaining,Gourmet Traveller,Australian Womens Weekly,Delicous magazines and has done numerous cookbooks.
Michaela has also enjoyed the world of food packaging and has done campaigns for Unilever and Continental,Uncle Toby’s,Kellogs to name a few.Advertising work has also interested her and campaigns for KFC and Manildra Meat where she styles as well as writes recipes.
